Emily's birthday is two weeks away and we have been talking about going away soon. We've talked about going to Floridia and doing the Disney thing. We've talked about going up to Lake George and hitting this indoor waterpark that's attached to a hotel. We've talked about the same kind of thing in Pennsylvania.
Here's how it breaks down.
Florida. 4 adults and 1 child. Five nights, six days, airfare from our local airport and two rooms on the Disney property, park hopper passes for five days. Grand total $5000.
Lake George Sold out but rooms around spring break for 4 adults and 1 child plus park passes and breakfast, starting at $200 a night.
Pennsylvania Sold out for all the weekends we would want.
We asked about the park in Niagria Falls, but being 6 plus hours away isn't that appealing. Plus the room, tickets, etc starts at $525 a night!
Since when did hotels get so pricey? I remember hotels like Motel 6 having rates around $60 a night. What do you really need? Clean bed, Clean bathroom and maybe a pool if it's warm enough or inside.
Brian and I were talking about going to see his Aunt and Uncle last weekend and staying over night in Atlantic City. The best price I could get on the Boardwalk was $380 a night!
For what?
All we ever need is one bed. Em likes to sleep, well, the intention is between us. But she spins around in the bed, so it's like sleeping with a top. A boney one at that.
Inflation sucks.

$5000? I like Mickey, but not all that much! Those prices are crazy! Is it just because it is around spring break? Wow!
